Maternity Photo Session TurnedSurprise Proposal!

Maternity photo sessions are one of my favorite things to do! The mom-to-be always looks amazing and it is so special to be able to capture these moments that mom and baby share. This maternity photo session took a turn and became a combination maternity photo shoot and surprise proposal!

Maternity Photo Session

Katie reached out to me months ago wanting to do a cute maternity session under the Tetons. As your Jackson Hole photographer, I have a lot of fantastic locations I frequently recommend (you can find some ideas here!). We also planned out our session. The plan was to do a big family session and then have another part where we would focus on her, the baby, and her boyfriend for her maternity photos.

Surprise Proposal! 

The day of our photo session, her boyfriend Tyler had sent me a text saying he had been planning on proposing to her that evening and decided to do a surprise proposal at the photo session. Rearranging our plans a little, we were able to catch her completely off guard!

We set up the family photo session first and then dove into the maternity session. Just as they were all positioned as planned, Tyler dropped to one knee and proposed! It was such an amazing and special moment that I am grateful to have been a part of!
