Fun Things to do in Jackson Hole

There are so many great places to stay, good food to eat, and fun things to do in Jackson Hole in the summer and the winter! I want to share some of my favorites with you so that when you visit Jackson Hole, WY you will know the best places to visit from a native, your Jackson Hole photographer.

Great Places to Stay in Jackson Hole

There are a lot of kid-friendly locations in Jackson Hole. Snow King is my first recommendation. It is located right on Snow King Mountain so there are a lot of events in the summer and winter. There is People’s Market every Wednesday, the Alpine Slide, the zip line, hikes, and the Jackson Hole Gondola

The Rustic Inn is my second choice. It is in a cute location, and it is a private cabin with a pool, teepees, and antler archways. There is a beautiful creek that runs through the back and is a stunning place for family photos if you want your photographer to come to you.

Another great location is the Wort Hotel in downtown Jackson Hole. It is one of the oldest hotels in downtown and it is surrounded by the fun interactions in Town Square. It is in walking distance to a lot of fun things to do and the shops in downtown.

Good Places to Eat in Jackson Hole

Sidewinders is a great place to get anything you are hungry for! They offer pizza, pasta, steak sandwiches and more. They are also very family friendly with a super fun vibe with an arcade in the back. They also have a bar if a cocktail is what you are looking for.

If you are looking for authentic Mexican cuisine and a super fun vibe, El Abeulito is the place to go! It is owned by a local Hispanic family, and it is great food and atmosphere.

The Merry Piglets is a fun Tex-Mex place decorated with awesome artwork all over. They have amazing fried ice cream, and they are located downtown.

Fun Things to do in Downtown Jackson Hole

There are so many fun things to do in Jackson Hole it is hard to narrow it down to a few, but one stop you must make is to Teton Toys! This is one of the most fun toy stores I have ever been to, and it isn’t just a bunch of random toys. Every toy has a purpose, plan, or something to teach your child.

A few more fun things I recommend doing in Jackson Hole are the Alpine Slide, the zip line, and ride the gondola! These are all really fun things to do with the kiddos.

Something that we like to do when we go downtown is to get a picture in front of the archway, let the kids run around the park, and get some Haagen-Dazs ice cream! Take in the area, go in the shops, and get a Jackson Hole t-shirt to commemorate your fun!

If you are ever in Jackson Hole and want something fun to remember your trip by, family photos in the town square are always fun to do. Also, if you are up for the adventure of driving out to Grand Teton National Park, family photos in the park are great to document your stay and have those photos to cherish.
