Couples and Engagement Photo Session at Jenny Lake at Grand Teton National Park

I recently did a photo shoot at Jenny Lake in Grand Teton National Park for an awesome couple from New York. They had never been any farther out west than Colorado and they decided to take a two-week road trip and go as far west as they could! It is so fascinating to learn where people are from and what they do for a living. There are so many amazing people in our world, and it makes them feel more comfortable for a photo shoot when I get to know them.

As a destination Jackson Hole photographer, Reuben and Sandra reached out to me to book their session a few weeks before their trip. They were planning on driving west and visiting the Grand Teton National Park, West Yellowstone, and going through Zion National Park and wanted to do a photo session in front of the Grand Tetons.

The Second Proposal

Reuben and Sandra were planning the wedding for the next summer and wanted this to be their big trip together while they were engaged. He contacted me and said he knows he already proposed, got down on one knee, and she has the ring, but he wanted a picture of him down on one knee under this beautiful view. They brought a few different outfits with them to Jenny Lake. One was a stunning red gown and while she was wearing this beautiful gown, he got on one knee again and recited his awesome speech. Sandra didn’t realize he was going to do this, and she was blown away by it.

The Fun Couple Photoshoot at Jenny Lake

After they were done with their more formal photos, they changed into a button up shirt, sandals and shorts and got into the water and played! Reuben had said that they were fun, and they wanted the beautiful pictures and scenery, but they also wanted to capture who they really are. The photos of them playing, splashing, and lifting each other up in the water at Jenny Lake were amazing and so much fun!

There are so many wonderful photo opportunities in Jackson Hole. I would love to be your Jackson Hole photographer and help you come up with fun ideas for something like this. Reach out to me to talk about a proposal, couple, or family photo session!
