Couple’s Photography Session at Taggart Lake

Couple’s photography sessions can be a lot of fun. Tori and Cody were newlyweds who booked their session about six months ago. Tori had traveled out west a few times and fell in love with the mountains. Although Cody had never been out west, she knew that she wanted to honeymoon here, rent a car, and travel all over the west. She wanted to see Jackson Hole, Grand Teton National Park, and West Yellowstone.  Honeymoon photos are so fun because you are so in love with your person and you end up with epic, romantic photos.

Why Taggart Lake for Photos

Prior to their couple’s photography session, Tori had chosen a different location. I told her about Taggart Lake at Grand Teton National Park, and after driving by, she absolutely loved it. She showed up in a gorgeous pink gown and her husband in a nice, blue button up shirt. It was the perfect day with the perfect couple! We started with this photo on the bridge, and the lighting was perfect.

Why Does Location Matter for Light & Airy Photography?

Notice how their outfits are light and airy? This is very important when planning for a light and airy photo shoot. There are multiple blog posts on my website regarding what to wear for your photo shoot, so please check those out. Everything has a part in creating these beautiful photos, from location to lighting, and clothing choices.

Lighting is very important to get the perfect photos. I look for trees, specific lighting scenarios, types of trees, and even the types of grass in the area. Having super dark greenery or heavy dense grass won’t create the bright airy photos you want. If you like any of these images, click to contact me, and let’s get your session booked!
