Best places to see in Grand Teton National Park

I’ve been Blessed to have lived in Jackson for roughly 12 years, and as a Jackson hole photographer that has travelled the Tetons and scouted for hours, I know a lot of local places that are absolutely stunning, Places that you wont want to miss while visiting Grand Teton National park and the surrounding areas!

  • Swabachers landing!! from the beaver Damn to the moose, The ducks and the Streams this place is a hidden Gem just off highway 89!! Its easy to miss! but if you spot it sneak down in there!! It is one of my most requested locations for photos! This is my favorite spot to take kiddos. You’ll see all sorts of things and its a fun little hike for kiddos. Be sure if you stop here to stop at the first parking are and walk all the way to the end where the trees thin out and you can see the creek and the Tetons literally almost give you a high 5!

  • Blacktail Ponds!! This place in stunning, With the bounds that run into the snake river and the magnificent view this place is one you wont want to miss!! Also right of highway 89 and such a fun spot for a quick selfie or a full family session!! This is a fun place to take a little walk down to the ponds, I’ve seen Moose, Elk, Deer, Coyotes, and Ducks and geese here! This is a great spot for wildlife, Because of the canyon they are far off but you can still see all sorts of wildlife here!!

  • Mormon Row also known as Moulton barns. These are the famous barns. I’m sure you’ve seen them in some restaurant business office or airport somewhere!! Wouldn’t it be amazing if you had that famous photo of the barns but with your sweet people in the photo!! You can walk around the south barn, which is listed in the photos below and then explore the north barns read about how the people settled the land, and just take in the gorgeous view!

Taggert Lake, Inside Grand Teton National park Has to be onw of my absolute favorite locations to go and enjoy the scenery, Especially if its winter, but truly anytime of the year, its absolutely breathtaking!! I love to walk around the fences and see the horses, walk the bike path bridge and let the kids through rocks down in. See what Foxes run across the scow in the winter! This spot is one you don’t want to miss! Hey if your up for a hike then park and hike up to the Lake!!

If your interested at all in any of these locations or would love to get your photos taken don’t hesitate to reach out id love to work with you and your family!
