Things to do in Jackson hole as a Family
As a Mom Of three young boys and a Jackson local, I like to think of myself as a local, Though my husband and I weren’t born here we were raised just 90 miles from here and we grew up coming to Yellowstone National Park and Grand Teton National park all our younger years. Know we’ve lived here 12 years, our boy were born and will probably be raised here. I know a lot of things to do here with kiddos!!
Go drive through Grand Teton National Park, take the day and drive through the park, play tourist, and stop at Jenny Lake take the boat over to hidden falls! This is a very easy hike My boy did it starting at the age of 2! look for wild life, Take ever road, stop at every turn out and take the little trails. Just explore!! Its worth it!! Pack a lunch and enjoy your family!
Rent paddle boards and spend the day at string lake. Jump off the rocks, Paddle down to Leigh lake. We did this last summer and I couldn’t believe we’d lived here this long and I hadn’t taken my boys there!! Its gorgeous!!
Obviously because I love photos, and hey I’m a photographer that specializes in family photography , I cant recommend enough especially if your traveling through, Get family photos out under the gorgeous Teton mountain range! Stay at budge cabins! Rent some canoes an canoe or kayak around slide lake, Hike the trail and read about the Kelly, landslide and the flood.
Go to Astoria Hot springs! Check their website as you do have to schedule a time! IT so worth it!
Hike snow king, Ride the new gondola, ride the alpine slide, eat at the yummy restaurants around the hotel!
Take the kids to the playhouse! Have dinner at cultivate and enjoy a show afterwards!
Pack a lunch an head down to Swabachers Landing, See the beavers and the sucks, possibly some moose, and just enjoy the gorgeous view!!
One thing I’ve learned about this area, in all my years living here, it doesn’t matter where you go or what you do the view will always be gorgeous and if you have your family with you what else could you ask for!
