Things to do in Jackson hole on rainy days!
If you’ve every visited Jackson hole, You know the weather here as a mind of its own! WE can be 80s one day and snowing the next! Yes its True, I have seen snow of 4th of July in Jackson Wyoming! As a Local, and a born and raised Idahoan, I was actually born and raised just 90 miles from Jackson. You could see the Idaho side of the Tetons from our kitchen window growing up! So I thought I’d share some fun things you can do in Jackson hole Wyoming on rainy and cold days!
Always bring some warmer close!! Here is why! You can still go from a drive, Drive around Grand Teton National Park, Look for wild life, take the scenic drives, take those random roads you wouldnt normally take if the weather was nice and you’d be out walking and hiking.
Go to the visitor centers There is one in town right across from dairy queen, This one is my boys favorite! Form the herd of elk when you walk in, to the gift shop, They have so many fun things to see and do in this small little visitor center. There is also a visitor center in Moose, Right before you head into Grand Teton National park!
Walk around down town on the Jackson hole town square. If you have kiddos take them into Teton Toys!! We love Teton toys, they have great toys, not just silly ones hey play with for 2 days and throw away! Go into all the historical shops, Take a photo under the famous elk antler archway! The side walk is covered so this is a fun thing to do when visiting and the weather is not your friend!
Go have lunch at one of the famous restaurant Sidewinders, Merry piglets, El Abuletos, Big Hole BBQ, The Wort!
Go bowling at Hole bowl and have lunch in there super fun sitting area!
Go to Movie works and watch a movie!! They just recently Remodeled and they have those super comfy chairs you see in the big movie theaters!
Go swimming at the Teton Recenter!
Take your kiddos to the Childrens Museum!!
