Choosing your Jackson hole photographer
Did you know that there are so many different kinds of styles of photography? I have been a photographer in Jackson hole for 8 years with a little time away from photography to raise my littles, I couldn’t believe how much had changed in the photography world. From everything being done digitally, back when i started, you’d give people a disc… yep, a CD with photos on it, you’d spend so much money on logos and print stickers to plaster on those CDs lol! Now its all about style, and I know alot of people don’t know that!! So I want to share some info with you to help you choose the best Family photographer, Or wedding photographer in Jackson Wyoming!
Style starts with the over all view of the image.
some styles consist of Light and Airy, Bright and colorful, More dark and moody, Grainy and vintage. Let me start with saying ALL these styles are amazing and beautiful Its all just a personal preference. Photography is an art, and when you are choosing a photographer, you are essentially choosing their art. Like if you walk into an art gallery, you may drawn to a paccaso painting, while someone else is drawn to a DaVinci photo. That is okay!!
Light and Airy
Let me show you some examples of different styles of photography! Ill start with my own photos. I like to say that my images are more light, bright, elegant, and timeless. You wont find insane contrast in my images, or oranges heughs, My images will be soft, and bright, with an elegant feel too them. Like this

Dark and Moody
Dark and moody, is going to bring down the color, and make it more dark. Have you ever watched a movie, that is more suspenseful, like a thriller or a horror movie, When the sesne is about to get scary so intense, they will drop the lighting ( in film or photography world we call that Exposure) to really capture that suspenseful moment!
Vintage and grainy
I’d call this more vintage and grainy, I’m not sure the technical term, but when i look at this it reminds me of those amazing vintage photos you’d get back int he 60’s and 70’s!! I love this style!! I think its fun!!
Always remember, When choosing your photographer to start with style, Because this is what the artist will create for you!! Don’t choose a photographer that tends to edit more light and airy and then ask them to make it more grainy and vintage! So much goes into a photographers style the moment they start photographing you and your family!! From the settings in their camera when they show up on the seen!!
