Top 5 locations for photoshoots in Grand Tetons and Jackson hole in the Winter
Happy Monday Friends, Today I wanted to share with you some of my most favorite winter locations for photoshoots. This is the question I get asked the most, I will start with saying there truly is not a bad location in Jackson hole or Grand Teton National park, Just about anywhere is gorgeous! With that, I want to share some of my favorites and why they are my favorite.
First, its obvious!! Grand Teton National park, This is my favorite location, Your right at the base of the mountains, its snowy the Tees usually have snow on them and look like pretty Christmas trees, the fences are berried in snow and its just gorgeous. with that being said there are a few things to think about when deciding on this location. There is a $35 park fee, but it is good for 7 days and you can go back into the park cross country ski and sight see, it is definitely worth it! Another thing to take note of is the park is only plowed about 3 miles into the park so you cant go very far in, but I love to do my wintery sessions at Taggert lake! Always watch for those signs. we want to make sure to be respectful of park employees and the park!
When its really snowy I love to shoot in the Trees, you get this gorgeous snowy tree back drop, you’ll be sheltered from the wind and believe it or not its actually not as cold once you get nestled all down in the trees.
Outer park road. There are so many gorgeous turn outs and each turnout is a different view so it gives you lots of options for different views of the mountains!
Up Gros Ventre Road This is a stunning location, the views from up the Gros ventre are absolutely breathtaking. There are multiple spots to stop and take photos and give you a great variety of images for your gallery, Weather that’s of the mountain range, the Gros Ventre river or the gorgeous snow covered trees, you get it all!
Last but definitely not least, the Town Square, These are always so fun, if your wanting that retro downtown Jackson vibe town square photos are so much fun!
