WINTER IN GRAND TETON NATIONAL PARK IS STUNNING, ADD AN EXPECTANT MAMA AND IT PUTS IT OVER THE TOP!!

Amanda had reached out to me with a tight schedule because her sweet husband ( who as a trooper by the way) was having ACL surgery and she was weeks away from her due date with her precious baby girl. So we picked a day and they drove a few hours to get these photos under the Tetons! Pete and Amanda are very adventurous and one of there baby gifts was a precious blanket of all the national parks, so you better bet we whipped that adorable blanket out and go the cutest photo of them holding the blanket and the winter Grand Tetons in the back!

How to prepare for Winter photos in The Grand Tetons

  • Dress warm! Winter in Jackson hole is cold, most sessions in January are around 0 degrees. Where layers, Warm socks, bring gloves and extra coats!

  • Take Breaks, All my winter sessions are done it segments, especially for families and couples who are not use to the cold. I will take photos for about 15 minutes give you a few minutes to warm up then head out again!

  • Be careful where you go. Watch for signs and read them, We want to make sure that were not steeping out into a marked area, or blocking someone else from getting to and from their destination. The worst thing in the world is when you make a park ranger mad… and he yells at you… in front of your clients!!! Yep… this has happened to me!! READ THOSE SIGNS!!!

  • Slightly move back off the ski trails. This will make your life and the skiers lives so much easier! They wont be trying to go around you and you wont have to stop and wait for them too walk through!!
